A few weeks ago Matt & I had the privilege of working with some fabulous wedding vendors to create a wedding themed styled shoot. It’s something we’ve been wanting to do for a while now so it was time to just make it happen. We went for coffee with Lori from Wildflowers by Design, brainstormed and decided we jut need to go for it. 2 weeks later on a beautiful fall day our vision became a reality. We hope this shoot inspires creativity for your own wedding.
Matt had the idea of a wedding in a field with one tree being the centerpiece. As we were talking we wanted to mix the rustic look of the field with an upscale look for all of the details. And even beyond that we went out on a ledge and started to mix warm and cool colors. Now, as much as I’d like to be a fashionista and be incredibly creative in that way, I tend to play it safe. Thanks to Lori & Matt’s ability to work outside of the box, we were able to work together to create a stunning mix of warm and cool, perfect for a fall wedding look. Our main colors were charcoal and plum with metal accent tones.
Our next key ingredient was to get the details in place. Our models for the day Denae & Andy were a perfect fit (and completely adorable as they are newlyweds). We centered our upscale theme for the details around the dress from In White, which was gorgeous on Denae. Her groom was dressed in a charcoal suit provided by Filling’s. Bridal jewelry and the stunning rock courtesy of Finch Jewelers. And Lani from Plum Salon and Spa was our hair and makeup artist for the day.
I’ve mentioned Lori from Wildflowers by design was a huge part of the vision and planning for the shoot. We love what she did with the florals! I’ll comment more on those details with the pictures. Jasmine from The Couture Cakery created the most delicious and beautiful display for our dessert table. Fine China was provided by Radel & Stauffer and fit perfectly with the linens from Special Occasions. And the details wouldn’t be complete without the lovely work of Love Jessica, who tied all of our details together with her design of the invitation, placecards, favors and signs.
Ok, enough talk about this shoot…..here is what it looked like.
Matt’s vision turned reality in the most beautiful way.
Jasmine & Lori’s combined effort is fabulous!
I especially wanted to have some macaroons, so thanks Jasmine! I’m so impressed with her cupcake designs. The hanging flowers were perfect, thanks to Matt and the 30 ft extension ladder ;) And Jessica tied the whole theme together with the framed tree sign.
We wanted to keep things fairly tonal with just a splash of color, and Lori made the perfect bouquet.
Lani did such an incredible job with Denae’s hair and makeup, matching our theme perfectly.
The mix of warm and cool blended together nicely and created a beautiful (& yummy) display.
The cupcake dress, with Steve Madden peep toe heels.
Can we talk about this stunning engagement ring?!
The sweetheart table. Here we have a warm rosette tablecloth, with silver and charcoal accents and the incredible florals. Each piece makes a statement, but I’m so thrilled with combination it makes me want to get married all over again :)
It’s not often that Matt & I see such a full dress. Lori had seen it at In White, and we started our brainstorming for the shoot with it in mind. I just love it!
And now for a few of our couple. Denae & Andy are newlyweds and obviously super cute.
Here you can see more of the fullness of the dress.
Love Jessica brought our theme together with her lovely designs. The favor boxes, placecards, invitation, the poster and the perfect pair signs for the bride & groom stools. We decided to go for something a little different with the sweetheart table and chose a high table and bar stools.
The grooms look. Suit, tie and pocket square from Filling’s. And love that boutonniere by Lori!
A little bit of that glowy evening light that we were hoping for.
Earrings, necklace and bracelet also provided by Finch Jewelers.
I love the detail on the dress.
The mix of plum, purple and a bit of pink looks very sharp against the charcoal suit.
And this is how the evening ended.
Thank you so much to all of the vendors involved! We had such a fabulous time and are so grateful for everything you contributed. And I want to say a special thanks to Denae and Andy for taking the time to be our beautiful models. Lori and Jasmine thank you for all of the work you put into your details and for being there to set everything up and then take everything back down again :)
We hope this shoot has inspired some of your own ideas and if you’d like any more details on any of the vendors or particular pieces please send us an email.
