The Lodges at Gettysburg Wedding – Rachel & Chris

post by matt

We had the pleasure of working with Rachel & Chris last fall for their engagement session and were really looking forward to their wedding day. They have a beautiful love story and have been through a lot as a couple already. Chris is a cancer survivor and Rachel is the girl that has been by his side through the ups and downs. Their love for one another is very evident and we were privileged to be a part of their special day.

It’s always fun for Matt & I to shoot at a new venue and The Lodges at Gettysburg was a great location for Rachel & Chris to say ‘I Do’. From the beautiful backdrop for their ceremony to the perfectly lit reception, everything was lovely. Rachel looked radiant & Chris very handsome in his suit. The speeches brought tears and laughter, the dancing didn’t stop until the DJ packed up for the night and the party continued well into the night!

Rachel’s gorgeous dress from Renaissance Bridal.

Shoes & purse for the bride.

Matt got some shots with the guys as the girls were still getting ready.

And now for his beautiful bride!

Absolutely stunning Rachel!!

The balcony was perfect for pre-ceremony pictures!

Kiss from dad before he gives her away.

He looks pretty pleased :)

All smiles.

Their flower girl held a sign that said ‘Here Comes the Bride’ on one side and ‘Just Married’ on the other….but got them a little mixed up :)

How beautiful is their ceremony?!

So happy!

First kiss as Mr & Mrs.

Went for a little walk into the woods….even in her heels!

We went to the top of the hill for the view and Rachel started twirling….

Thank you for taking such beautiful photos! I was unable to attend the wedding (Rachel is my cousin and the officiant is my stepmother) and felt like I was there when I reviewed the pictures. My favorite detail is in the picture of the reception details- there is a single name card included in your shot, and it’s our Grandfather, Carrol Frock. For some reason, I found that really touching.
      Well done!
