She’s the scientist. He’s the philosopher. And their day was a reflection of who they really are.
We had the privilege of doing and engagement session with this couple in Gettysburg last fall and ultimately becoming friends. They were rock stars on their wedding day, so relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera….as you’ll see in the moments and laughter below.
They decided on brunch, which I think is a fabulous idea since I love breakfast food. They wanted to have a relaxed atmosphere with lots of visiting time with their friends and family. We arrived early to the hotel and found Jeff just sitting around with his Best Man (and brother) Matt. We grabbed these shots of him getting his tie on….which he later had to fix in the mirror (not so easy to get the tie even when you can’t see what you’re doing!)
Jeff had the rings there, so I took the opportunity to use the great detail of the room to capture the wedding bands.
Once Tina arrived from her hair appointment Matt ran down to her room and caught this just as he walked in the door.
And as you know I have a thing about shoes and if this year keeps going the way it’s started I’ll be raving about all of our bride’s shoes!!
A couple of details, thanks to our assistant Maryn.
The beautiful Tina, ready to go see her groom.
Love it. Not sure what made her smile in this pic, but I love the moment.
The Reveal on a perfect spring day.
And this is why we love when our couples opt to see each other before the ceremony. Look at those expressions, pure love. The detail on Tina’s veil is thanks to her mom.
So, these next couple are super cute, even with the sun making it’s apperance.
I mean seriously we couldn’t have asked for a better day or a better location to do the reveal. Long’s Park is beautiful right now!
A little attitude from Tina.
Her simple but stunning bouquet made by Tina and her sisters.
Some more fabulous spring and cuteness between these two.
This particular photo was made possible by Tina’s matron of honor Meghan ;) Thanks for your help!
I’d like to take a moment to tell you a little about Tina’s parents, because I love this one of Tina’s dad walking her into the ceremony. Originally from Vietnam Tina’s dad came to the US when Tina’s sisters were just toddlers. After 8 years living and working here he was able to bring her mom and her sister’s over. And then the family was blessed with another addition, Tina :) I have much respect for Tina’s family for working through what must have been very difficult years! And I’m thankful they did because now there is a Tina to walk down the aisle to Jeff.
Vowing to love each other forever.
The ceremony and reception were held at Mulberry Art Studio in Lancaster city, which always looks gorgeous!
A few more pics of the couple while the guests get settled in the reception area. Making use of the green couch in Mulberry.
And some city shots.
And a couple more moments.
Tina you make a beautiful bride and a beautiful person.
The reception was held upstairs. How amazing are their centerpieces?! Remember how I said their day was a reflection of who they really are? The periodic table of seats, beakers and hard cover books, just perfect for the scientist and the philosopher!
Cookies for the favors.
Tina and Jeff we are so glad you picked us. It has been wonderful getting to know you and we look forward to more double dates. Congrats!!
