Chesapeake City Wedding – Amanda & Brandon

post by nat

Saturday’s wedding brought us to Chesapeake City MD. Amanda & Brandon had their ceremony in Pell Gardens with the marina in the background. It was a bright and sunny evening, so I’m sure their guests appreciated the program fans! Amanda & Brandon wanted to take advantage of the marina and the water for their pictures, so we took some time with their bridal party and just the two of them before heading to the Chesapeake Inn for their reception. The ballroom at the Chesapeake Inn has a ‘starry’ ceiling and windows overlooking the marina, so as the sun set and the dancing began the room transformed beautifully.

I love the jewelry Amanda picked to compliment her dress. And the watch is her something borrowed from her grandmother.

The dress.

Her sparkly shoes :)

Checking out the finished product. I love the braid in the back, which I realize you can’t really see in this picture…..

Exchanging gifts.

Once Amanda was in her dress we had some time for portraits of just her.

Brandon’s stunning bride :)

Flowers by  Kiki Rose.

I love the bright bridesmaids bouquets and the splash of orange in Amanda’s!

View from the stage where Amanda & Brandon said ‘I do’.

They got ready at the Ship Watch Inn, only a short walk to the ceremony.

Their adorable flower girl and ring bearer and Amanda walking down the aisle to her man.

Such a beautiful evening!

Bridal Party in the marina.

Amanda kicked off her shoes for the pictures of her and Brandon, and I think it’s perfect for their beach themed wedding.

Showing off their details.

There was a small sandy area right on the water where we grabbed these next few pictures.

And a great shot by Matt that captured the newlyweds, the water and the bridge!

This was right before they went in to get ready for the reception. We got some pictures and they got a few quite minutes together.

Cocktail hour food and drinks – including the Amanda-tini.

Reception details. All things purple and orange and beachy.

Their awesome cake by Liz Marden Bakery.

Their rings, loving the detail in both of them.

First dance as Mr & Mrs.

Her dad surprised her with a song mash-up, including the twist!

There’s that starry ‘sky’.

The kids were the first ones on the dance floor!

Bouquet toss.

Brandon accidentally took off the wrong garter the first time….and had to try again ;)

The cake SMASHING!

Dance party :)

See how amazing the ballroom is?

The happy couple :) This shot took us a while. Long exposures on moving docks don’t play nice with focus… but it was worth the wait!

Congratulations Amanda & Brandon :) It was a beautiful day!
