Chelsea & Jared’s Lewistown Wedding

post by matt

Chelsea & Jared’s wedding was very exciting for us. We got to do a ‘Reveal’! We love when the bride and groom agree to see each other before the ceremony. We get to help them find the perfect location for such a special moment. It’s so fun to have the groom waiting in anticipation to see his bride for the first time and then spend a few moments just the two of them. Ok, so they’re not totally alone, Matt and I are there capturing the event, but we try to let them have a few moments to just take it all in before we whisk them away for more pictures. One of the things we love about a ‘Reveal’ is the amount of time we have to spend with just the couple. If you’re looking to have a low stress and relaxed wedding day a reveal is a great way to take the pressure off and allow more time for wedding party shots and family portraits.

We did Chelsea & Jared’s engagement pictures in downtown Harrisburg and at the airport (HIA), so we stayed with a green backdrop this time to add some contrast. The day was perfectly overcast and the hot pink accents of the wedding party were fun to work with. Seriously Chelsea you rocked the accessories! One of my favorite accessories of the day was Jared’s brother, Joshua’s, dog tags. They lost Joshua two years ago in a plane crash and wanted to pay special tribute to him through their wedding. Joshua would have been the best man, so it was perfect to make a trip out to the local airfield and get some pictures on the runway.

Chelsea and Jared, it has been fun getting to know you and becoming friends! We had a fabulous time at your wedding and wish you all the best in the future. Hope the new jobs are treating you well and we’re looking forward to that double date in Harrisburg :)

Love the reaction shot! This is Jared’s first look at Chelsea.

Lewistown Florist provided the beautiful white flowers.

Thank you Joshua Shepherd for serving our country.

Jeff Curry of Curry Limo provided the high class transportation.

The reception was at Lewistown Community Center

Kays Catering did a great job with the cake and all the food!

Love the free flip flop basket, they were savior to many sore feet!
