He was a lineman for Penn State. She was there on a Field Hockey scholarship. I’m sure it was a combination of her stunning beauty and his sense of humor that first attracted them to each other, but the love that they share now runs much deeper. One of my favorite parts of their wedding day was watching them with their families. The relationships run true and deep. There was joy, tears and so many laughs.
Their wedding was held at Drumore Estate just south of Lancaster. Kiersten put a lot into her details, including making her own bouquets. The ceremony, held outside in the garden was short and sweet. While the guests enjoyed the cocktail hour, we enjoyed time with the couple, their families and the bridal party and some fabulous lighting around the estate. The reception was full of tears and dancing….but I’ll talk about that more later.
Drumore Estates… providing the perfect setting for Kiersten & Ross!
Her hot shoes.
Her dress was simple and beautiful and just lovely on her.
Kathy watches as her daughter turns into a bride…and the bouquet made by the bride herself.
The lovely Kiersten.
A little football before the ceremony ;)
Ross had the guys shirts embossed and their cuff links matched their ties.
A few details for the ceremony.
Love the Groomsmen & Bridesmaid colors.
The faces in the trees – I asked Bill (the owner) what the story was behind the faces in the trees. He said that one day they got home and one tree had a face. No one ever admitted to putting it there, even though Bill and Karyn liked the face and weren’t upset at all. And then they just continued to arrive.
Their beautiful ceremony.
A moment right after the ceremony.
Some details from the cocktail hour, Kiersten’s dad made the door.
Our favorite time of the day…when we get to steal the couple away :)
A stunning background, a fabulous couple and some special moments…what more could you ask for?!
The bridal party.
Some more with the couple, the moon came out early
Drumore Estates is just beautiful. Karyn and Bill completely restored the estate inside and out when they bought the place over 11 years ago. They have just done a fabulous job, the place is gorgeous!
First dance as Mr and Mrs.
The father-daughter dance and the mother-son dance were beautiful, but we wanted to show you some of the moments from the speeches instead. To quote Matt, ‘If you weren’t tearing up then you are a stone!’. Most beautiful and loving speeches we have heard at a wedding, the bond between the couple and their families is amazing!
Ok, one shot of the bride and her dad dancing together.
I always have fun with the ring shots, so here are a few of Kiersten and Ross’ beautiful rings.
We got to steal the couple away again for a few pictures at sunset….
And then they danced into the night, thanks to Center Stage Entertainment.
Kiersten and Ross are a wonderful couple and we are honored to call them our friends, not just clients. It has been a fun journey with them and it’s crazy how fast their wedding came and went!
