Terra & Nikos took DIY to a whole new level for their wedding day. They bought a property a couple years ago and have been landscaping and planting and building for their wedding day. And to say their efforts were well worth it would be an understatement! It was incredible! But I’m getting ahead of myself, let’s start at the beginning….
We arrived at Nikos’ parents home first and had a good chat with his family before he got there and started getting ready. Nikos arrived and grabbed a quick bite to eat before we got some pictures of him and his family. Then it was off to see Terra & the girls. I have to say it was a lot of fun hanging out with the girls while they were getting ready, so many laughs! Both Terra & Nikos were excited but slightly anxious due to the stormy weather in the forecast, but thankfully it passed right over us and they had the most perfect day :)
The vows they said to each other were, well, hilarious and very sweet! They couldn’t stop smiling as they were announced Mr & Mrs :) During the cocktail hour we felt about 5 drops of rain and then the sun came back out for some stunning light right at sunset.
The reception had dances and speeches and laughter and cake. And after that? Well, there were drinks and campfires and s’mores and cigars. And each spot that they worked so hard to create had people lingering and talking and enjoying the celebration of their wedding day and the start of the rest of their lives.

Time for the bridal party…
There were so many areas on the property that are special to Terra & Nikos. Plus, since Terra is also a photographer each area was a perfect backdrop for the new couple!
A sweet moment.
I mean they are such a beautiful couple!

The barn is fabulous both outside….
He locked her in, but she’s the one who looks like she’s scheming ;)
The stunning Terra.
The cocktail hour was on the lawn and at the bar. The bar was built just a few weeks ago, and the whole area was perfect. A log bench, fire pits, signature drinks, and some delicious food. The amazing food was thanks to JDK.
Getting ready to be announced.
Gladiolas for their favors, lemon & sunflower centerpieces and a fruit bar.
Their first dance.
Terra and her grandfather.
So, we may have gone overboard with the ring shots for this one, but I’d say Nikos is a pretty good designer….wouldn’t you?
Terra planted hundreds of sunflowers. They lined the property and made their way into the bridesmaids bouquets and onto the tables. And they made a good prop for the rings.
We stole the couple away for some more pictures as the sun was setting….and you guessed it we used another area on the property.
The night begins.
Their cake was created by Cakes by Sharon.
Their signature drinks.
The dance party, thanks to Jim Daily.
And then people started lingering around the fires for s’mores and cigars.
Enjoying their hard work, and the beginning of the rest of their lives.
Congrats Terra & Nikos. You are a beautiful couple that we have so enjoyed getting to know and are thrilled we got to be a part of your day :)
