Last weekend we had a Sunday wedding for our friends Kristin & Ken. I probably mentioned that we became friends with Kristin last year at another wedding we were shooting…..Kristin & Aaron. Now that you’re confused by Kristin’s….let’s tell you the story of Kristin & Ken.
Their story begins early last year when Ken was still living in Germany. They had a long distance relationship until Ken stepped off a plane in August to make PA his new home.
It wasn’t long before they were engaged and planning their wedding. We were so honored when they asked us to be their photographers. We had a blast shooting their engagement photos! But, more than that we have had so much fun getting to know them as a couple. Looking forward to our next triple date!
We started at the salon where the girls were getting their hair done. Thanks to U-Turn Salon in Palmyra for a great location to shoot some details.
We loved the flowers! Ginny from I Do Weddings & Flowers did a superb job with the wildflower bouquets!
Kristin & Ken opted for a ‘First Look’. It was so worth it!
It’s like we weren’t even there, they were so happy to be marrying each other in just a couple of hours.
The stunning bride
Her fabulous details
Love. Love. Love!!
Kristin is truly a joyful person, of course it helps that Ken makes her laugh :)
Photographers, as a general rule, avoid direct sunlight midday…..but sometimes rules are meant to be broken.
The bridal party
The girls, who I got to know at the White House|Black Market event last fall. Love all of their dress choices!
How great do they look?!
The ceremony was held at Hershey Free Church
The reception was held at Folklore Coffee Company in Elizabethtown PA. This is a great location for a non traditional reception!!
All of the beautiful & tasty food was made by Julie from The Bakers Tree.
Kristin & Ken made use of all of the wonderful space at Folklore
Kristin is an editor, so it’s fitting that she wrote their story for everyone to enjoy (now that I wrote that, I’m very aware of my own writing and how flawed it must be!)
Mikie Mic DJ’s provided the entertainment and the awesome uplighting for the night
A sampling of the nights deliciousness….
First dance as husband and wife
Yes it was the hottest day of the year so far….but that didn’t stop the dancing!
Yep, so they’re super cute
And they’re off to Aruba
Congrats guys! Can’t wait to show you the rest of your pics.
