Bourbon & Bowties – One Crazy Awesome 30th Birthday Party!

post by nat

We had the pleasure of attending and capturing a surprise 30th birthday for Steve. We have gotten to know Steve over the years working with the JDK Group at various weddings and events and he is one of the most genuine people in the business. And judging from the turnout, we’re not the only ones who think so.

His friend and co-worker Michelle contacted us before the party and asked if we’d like to come join the fun and capture all of the details, and of course we said YES! Not only did we get to celebrate a fun milestone in Steve’s life, but we got to enjoy yet another incredible event by JDK. Everything was perfection, from the decorations and food, to the Bulldog kissing booth….that’s right, a Bulldog kissing booth, because Steve’s favorite dog’s are bulldogs… why not!?

Without further adieu we give you 30 Years of Sanchez.

The event was held at the Clarion Hotel Conference Center Harrisburg in one of their meeting rooms. Here are some of the entry way details.

The bar, including a signature drink that included bourbon and bacon! It was delish.

Gorgeous florals and my favorite, succulents.

Bowties made their appearance in all of the decor. And a clever hashtag too.

Martine from House of Clarendon fit the theme perfectly with his delicious cake and Jasmine from The Couture Cakery with her cupcakes.

And check out this vintage truck that was a centerpiece for some of the delicious food. BTW there was delicious food every direction you looked, no joke.

Some more bow ties and details :)

They even had lounges in the middle of the party.

The people behind the surprise. Way to be excited Mike!

Steve was so shocked and overwhelmed he walked in and right back out of the room a couple of times before he could fully take it all in!

Looking on as Steve is toasted and sung to ;)

The man, his bourbon and his bowtie.

And remember that kissing booth I mentioned earlier?! Of course Steve got in on the action. I’m not sure who’s the lucky one in this scenario ;)

Party people! Mike of Mixed up Productions kept people on the dance floor all night :)

Happy 30th Steve! We’re so happy we got to be a part of it :)
