I got a little too excited yesterday and said that today was going to be about sparkle… and I was wrong. I got my days all confused. I’ll blame it on sympathy pregnancy brian. No wait a minute. I guess you could say it’s the ‘sparkle’ in each others eyes that leads to popping the question. Which is what todays post is about. Engagement Sessions!
Engagement sessions are one of our absolute favorite kinds of sessions. They give us time to get to know our couples while taking some great pictures of them. It’s so great to have that connection and relationship established before the wedding day. Once the wedding day rolls around we often feel like old friends with fancy cameras. Here is a collection of some of our favorite engagement shots that we’ve captured this year.
Love this angle of Dana & Mickey.
A perfect kiss.
Betsy & Todd used some props. They’re a great way to personalize your engagement pictures and work well for save the dates.
We always love to find great architecture and colors to compliment our couples outfit choices.
Love the texture and light the corn created for this shot of Elizabeth & Steve.
Fall colors make for perfect backdrops.

Smooch. Kristen & Luke
More of the city.
Gorgeous light! Krystle & Nick
We do a lot of travel and landscape photography as a hobby so it’s only natural to put our couples into the same type of shots.
Kristen & Paul at the courthouse.
We had to go back to school for Lauren & James’ engagement session.
We love when our couples pick locations that are meaningful to them. This shot was on their front porch and the gate was made by James’ dad.
This is a classic hug for Martha & Andy.
You would never guess but this shot is just minutes from downtown Phili.
Mary Beth & Chris kissing at the Bulls Head Pub.
Sometimes all you need is a nice park for great engagement photos.
Love the colors and expressions in this shot at the end of Sara & Mike’s engagement session in Richmond.
A different twist on brick.

An engagement session at Hershey Park… Um, yes please!
