Matt & I just returned from Ontario, Canada where we caught up with some great friends and shot Mary Lee & Mike’s engagement & wedding :) We shot their engagement photos on Wednesday, just about 48 hours before they said ‘I do’ on Friday.
Mary Lee and her sister Katrina (also the Maid of Honor) were the unfortunate victims in a head on collision the Saturday before (not their fault) and miraculously came out with fairly minor injuries. Mary Lee was able to hide her broken foot under her wedding dress, but for the engagement session she was able to slowly walk around without her brace.
We started at Mike’s property and used his truck and a couple of tractors for some of the props. Then we headed into the quaint town of Elora for some more pictures before we talked about all of the details of their wedding day…..but I’m getting ahead of myself, so let’s start with their engagement session.
Mike is a truck driver, so we started out with his truck.
The tractor is Mike’s dads, that has been restored for use in pulling competitions.
The happy couple.
Beautiful smile Mary Lee!
Mike set up the equipment for a couple of shots with the couple and for family pictures on the wedding day.
Hanging out in the field.

Her lovely engagement ring.
So Mike’s neighbors just showed up with some hay bales one day. Mike of course asked what was up….and they clearly told him not to worry about it. Mike goes on his weekly run and returns home to….well…..these :)
I’m really impressed!
Another shot of her great ring.
And then we went into town at the perfect time for evening light.
A sweet moment.
Just hanging out by the ivy wall….
His beautiful girl.
Laughing again :D
Kiss for the soon to be Mrs.
Super excited to be getting married!
Mary Lee & Mike, we had a lot of fun getting to know you guys on this engagement shoot :) Excited to show you your wedding pics later this week!
